The grocery and meat business has always been an important part to both Adam Sr and Adam Jr. Adam Sr owned grocery stores before the Great Depression and worked at packing houses prior to going into business for himself with his son. They both come from a long line of meat cutters. Adam Sr’s father made and sold fresh and smoked meats and owned a stand at central market in the early 1900's. In the fall of 1957 Adam Sr and Adam Jr opened a small retail meat market on Main Street called Meat Packers Outlet. Four years later with 5 employees Meat Packers Outlet moved to Fifth Street where it resides today. Adam Sr was best known by his customers and coworkers as “Butch” and Adam Jr as “Bud”. 
After forty two years running the business Bud passed the managerial duties onto his two sons Pat and Dan. The family business continues on with the help of fifteen employees. Three of our employees alone have over 100 years of meat cutting experience. Meat Packers Outlet has been a family owned and operated business for over fifty years and continues the same traditions of staying small and taking great care of our customers.
